Iris and her art

Untitled

(1987)
Discovered on a garden bank, discarded after winters pruning – a bud, dark red, deep folded – brought unexpectedly within the house and planted in a tall glass holder. Who knows, by chance, it yet may bloom, even now in cold of winter, here within this room. A day or so and slowly now, unfolding in a bower of crimson, dark, yet lifting to the light – exquisite, rare fulfilment amazing to behold and more – the double pleasure, such fragrance in the winter of a rose

If I was a bird I’d be flying across the green valley towards the sea; If I was a parrot I’d be pecking seeds from the sun flowers, flashing green-blue wings in my haste and sharing the cool morning breeze with all who live in Paradise here in City Beach

Come together all people be part of life’s unity so that heavenly harmony brings us together in the unity of love.
